Atlas Roofing Corporation has added Pinnacle Impact shingles to its Pinnacle family of products. As an expansion of the manufacturer’s offering of premium asphalt shingles, Pinnacle Impact features advanced innovations, including 3M Smog-reducing granule technology, 3M Scotchgard Protector, HP42 technology, and a Class 4 impact rating.

Pinnacle Impact shingles are manufactured with special polymers that give them a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest rating for impact resistance in asphalt shingles—giving customers access to an affordable option in Class 4 rated products. The unique polymer blend allows for reduced energy usage and emissions during the manufacturing process, as well as gives the shingle greater resilience against the damaging impact of hail.

The unique polymer blend allows for reduced energy usage and emissions during the manufacturing process, as well as gives the shingle greater resilience against the damaging impact of hail.

In addition to impact resistance, Pinnacle Impact also incorporates 3M Smog-reducing granule technology, inspired by the power of trees, to create a smog-fighting surface on any roof. Patented 3M Smog-reducing granules are formulated with a photocatalytic coating which, when activated by sunlight, allow the granules on the shingle transform smog into water-soluble ions, helping to improve air quality. On an average-sized roof, Pinnacle Impact shingles with 3M Smog-reducing granules have the smog-fighting capacity of 2-3 trees, helping to remove smog pollutants one roof at a time.

Offered in a neutral palette of beautiful colors, Pinnacle Impact shingles are also made with 3M Scotchgard Protector — a hallmark of Pinnacle shingles for over a decade — which prevents ugly black streaks caused by algae, maintaining curb appeal for the life of the roof.

Combining Class 4 impact resistance and smog-reducing technology with the Pinnacle product standards, including a lifetime warranty against black streaks and stains, 130 mph wind resistance, and a 42-inch-wide format, Pinnacle Impact offers one of the most innovative sets of features of any asphalt shingle on the market today, resulting in great value for consumers.

Pinnacle Impact shingles can be combined with either Pro-Cut Hip & Ridge shingles, Pro-Cut High-Profile Hip & Ridge shingles, or StormMaster Hip & Ridge shingles as a qualifying component to all Atlas Signature Select Warranty programs.

Atlas is currently accepting new product orders for Pinnacle Impact shingles, which are scheduled to begin shipping in early April 2023.
