Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, has acquired the fencing, railing and decking assets of CertainTeed, including two facilities in Buffalo, N.Y., and Orem, Utah, expanding the manufacturer’s operational capabilities and comprehensive suite of industry-leading outdoor living solutions across North America.

The integration of these assets, which include premier product lines, specialized manufacturing capabilities and geographical positions, into Oldcastle APG’s platform will strengthen the industry leader’s proficiency in the attractive vinyl fencing category following its acquisition of Barrette Outdoor Living, a top provider of fencing, railing and decking in North America, in 2022. Moreover, the addition of upmarket vinyl and composite fencing brands Bufftech and SimTek will complement Oldcastle APG’s category-defining solutions, further enabling the manufacturer to provide high-quality products and enrich the buying experience of its customers in both the residential and commercial markets.

“We are thrilled to announce this exciting addition to the Oldcastle APG Family, including premium fencing lines Bufftech and SimTek, as we continue to strengthen our product portfolio and advance our business,” says Tim Ortman, president, Oldcastle APG. “CertainTeed’s reputable brands and manufacturing assets will augment our Barrette Outdoor Living operations across North America, reflecting our commitment to continually develop innovative and category-defining building products that connect our customers with the outdoors.”

As Oldcastle APG continues to expand its exceptional collection of fencing and railing options, the addition of these premium products will complement its extensive family of brands such as MoistureShield composite decking, Belgard concrete pavers, Barrette Outdoor Living’s Active Yards lines, and many more.
