Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Simpson Strong-Tie officials have announced the company will invest $110 million to expand in Gallatin, Tenn., by locating a new facility on Airport Road.

Simpson Strong-Tie will create an additional 37 new jobs in Sumner County.

The new location will allow Simpson Strong-Tie to better meet its growing product demand and relocate a portion of its fastener manufacturing operations to Gallatin. Simpson Strong-Tie selected local design-build developer, Al. Neyer, as a full-service real estate partner for the project. Upon completion, the company will employ nearly 250 people across Tennessee.

A part of Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc., Simpson Strong-Tie is a leading manufacturer of high-quality wood and concrete construction solutions that help people design and build safer, stronger homes, building and communities. At its Gallatin facility, the company produces structural screws, nails and its Quik Drive collated fastening systems.

Since 2019, TNECD has supported nearly 10 economic development projects in Sumner County, resulting in approximately 1,200 job commitments and $920 million in capital investment.

“Thanks to our state’s strong business climate, exceptional workforce and thriving economy, companies continue to choose Tennessee as the place to grow and expand. I thank Simpson Strong-Tie for its commitment to job creation in our state and look forward to seeing the opportunities this announcement brings for families in Sumner County.” – Gov. Bill Lee

“Simpson Strong-Tie is one of the more than 2,600 advanced manufacturing companies that call the Volunteer State home, and we are proud that this leading brand will continue to do business in Gallatin. The company’s $110 million investment will play a vital role in strengthening our state’s economy for years to come.” – TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter

“This expansion more than doubles our current production capacity and footprint, enabling us to meet increased product demand and keep fastener manufacturing close to our North America customers. The new site will also improve efficiency, help ensure we continue to provide exceptional customer service, and open up career opportunities for employees and job applicants alike.” – Mike Olosky, president and CEO, Simpson Strong-Tie

“Simpson Strong-Tie’s choice to expand in Gallatin is a complement to our workforce and our economic strength. They are a valued corporate partner, and we are happy to continue that relationship for years to come.” – Gallatin Mayor Paige Brown

“TVA and Gallatin Department of Electricity congratulate Simpson Strong-Tie on its decision to expand operations in Gallatin. It’s always an exciting day when we can celebrate a company’s commitment to continued growth in the region. We are proud to partner with Gallatin Economic Development Agency and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to support companies like Simpson Strong-Tie and look forward to its continued business success.” – John Bradley, TVA senior vice president of Economic Development

“I am very pleased to see these jobs coming to Sumner County, which is a great location for new and expanding businesses. I congratulate Simpson Strong-Tie as well as our local officials, Gov. Lee, Commissioner McWhorter and all who helped secure these jobs.” – Sen. Ferrell Haile (R-Gallatin)

“It is always exciting to see an existing business and valued employer like Simpson Strong-Tie be successful. This expansion represents a significant investment in our community that will greatly benefit the local economy. I appreciate the company’s continued commitment to Gallatin and the new jobs that will be created.” – Rep. William Slater (R-Gallatin)
