GlassBuild America, the premier event for the glass, window, and door industries in North America, is making its debut in Dallas. Taking place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center from Monday, Sept. 30 to Wednesday, Oct. 2, the event is set against the backdrop of Dallas-Fort Worth’s booming construction industry, which leads the nation in job growth and new home construction. Organized by the National Glass Association (NGA), GlassBuild America 2024 will bring together thousands of industry professionals at a time when the region’s rapid development highlights the critical role of innovation in shaping the future of construction.

Dallas-Fort Worth is experiencing a construction boom, continuing to top MSCI Inc.’s list of top commercial real estate investment markets in 2023 with nearly $19 billion in traded properties, further solidifying its position as a key driver of national economic growth. The area’s population continues to expand rapidly, fueling demand for both residential and commercial development. U.S. Census data shows that the Dallas region added 467 new residents each day between 2021-2022. In 2023 alone, the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area broke ground on several multi-million dollar construction projects, including financial giants like Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. This level of activity not only surpasses other major U.S. metros but also positions Dallas-Fort Worth as a critical hub for innovation and growth in the construction industry.

“GlassBuild America has always been at the forefront of industry innovation,” said Nicole Harris, president & CEO at NGA. “This year, we are particularly excited to bring the event to Dallas, a city that reflects the growth and modernization driving our industry. Attendees will witness how advancements in glass, window, and door technologies are setting new standards in construction.”

Attendees will experience a comprehensive showcase of the industry’s latest advancements, with over 500 exhibitors presenting a range of products and technologies. From glazing systems and hardware to machinery, tools, and software solutions, the exhibit floor will cover every facet of the glass, window, and door industries. Among the key innovations on display will be bird-friendly glass, designed to support sustainable building practices, and high-performance windows that enhance energy efficiency and durability. These cutting-edge products are tailored to meet the demands of modern construction, whether for large-scale commercial developments or residential homes.

GlassBuild America will feature a robust lineup of educational sessions and networking opportunities designed to empower industry professionals. Attendees can gain insights into critical topics such as building code updates, energy efficiency, and innovative solutions to address labor shortages while collaborating on strategies that will drive the industry forward.

GlassBuild America is also proud to highlight the involvement of several prominent Dallas-based companies that play a critical role in the local and national glass and fenestration industries. These companies include Excel Glass Systems, which will be exhibiting and is an event sponsor; Country Glass & Mirror Inc., whose representatives will be speaking at the Glazing Executives Forum; and Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, a sponsor of the GlassBuild Podcast Studio.

“We’re excited to welcome these companies and all participants to Dallas for GlassBuild America 2024,” said Urmilla Sowell, vice president, advocacy & technical services at NGA. “Glass is crucial to the future of construction, offering advancements in energy efficiency, safety, and overall building performance. This event is the perfect platform to explore these innovations in a region that truly represents growth and progress.”
