Siplast, a Standard Industries company, introduces a self-adhered vapor permeable (VP) air and water-resistive barrier (AWB) developed for commercial wall applications: WALLcontrol Monolith VP Adhered AWB. As the latest innovation within Siplast’s expanding suite of WALLcontrol Air & Water-Resistive Barrier (AWB) Systems, WALLcontrol Monolith VP AWB exemplifies the company’s steadfast commitment to advancing within the building enclosure sector.

Siplast WALLcontrol Monolith VP AWB delivers three performance solutions—durable water resistance, high-performance vapor permeability, and best-in-class primerless adhesion—utilizing exclusive technology to form a monolithic solid sheet. This flexible, UV-resistant membrane features a high-temperature stable, low-temperature application permeable acrylic adhesive with a split siliconized release liner, designed to ensure robust protection and durability. The monolithic product design helps provide chemical stability, while its sleek black finish adds a visually appealing touch to almost any facade.

To create WALLcontrol Monolith VP AWB, Siplast employed a specialized production process for membrane technology that uses a proprietary blend of robust core materials to form a durable barrier film capable of providing protection against the elements. This technology presents a highly porous structure that facilitates moisture vapor transfer while providing exceptional water holdout properties. This self-adhesive AWB eliminates the need for a primer, which can help save on labor, materials, and time while allowing swift on-site application that expedites the project’s progress to the next construction phase.

The WALLcontrol AWB Systems include wall membranes, critical transition membranes, and accessories that provide high-performance solutions for above-grade vertical walls—helping to create a continuous air and water-resistive barrier for commercial buildings. As part of a designed building enclosure system, WALLcontrol Monolith VP AWB  can help contribute toward optimized energy performance and improved indoor air quality for building occupants.

Siplast continues to deliver high-performance building enclosure solutions in partnership with our customers, setting industry standards for the future of building design and construction. To learn more about Siplast and the brand’s high-performance AWB product line, visit www.siplast.com.
