Meet these amazing IKO ROOFPROs who have turned their passion for roofing into a shared journey of success.
In Brazil, two young hearts crossed paths by pure chance—Michael Robb and Daiane Mendes, both just 16 years old. Their first encounter was fleeting, yet fate had other plans. Years later, their worlds collided once again at a barbecue in Atlanta. After years of forging their own paths—Michael carving out a career as an entrepreneur and Daiane as a driven businesswoman—their reunion sparked something extraordinary. In 2021, they co-founded PACC Construction, a company rooted not just in roofing and insurance restoration, but in a shared mission: to make a meaningful impact by helping others. It wasn’t just a business partnership; it was a union of vision, passion, and love. “True success starts with investing in each other—both in love and in business,” Daiane reflects. “It’s about self-awareness and growth, especially when your partner is also your co-owner.” Michael chimes in, “Admiration is key. We face challenges together, learn from them, and keep building something that’s greater than just a company—it’s our shared dream.”

Matt and Erin’s love story started with a spark in 2008 at West Virginia University on the PRT, a student transportation system. “I called my mom immediately to say I just met the love of my life,” says Matt. Erin agrees that they were meant to be, as both life and business partners. Both come from blue collar backgrounds. Matt started in heavy civil construction after college and grew up helping his family with home additions and roofing. In 2014, he and Erin dove into renovations after moving into her grandparents’ dilapidated home. “My family didn’t think it was possible to make the home nice again, but we proved otherwise,” Erin recalls. The project sparked a realization—they saw a need for high-quality, reliable roofing and construction work in the Charleston, West Virginia area. Calendar Construction was born in 2015 with a vow to never cut corners. The duo jumped into business ownership with zero dollars and no business plan, and have never had investors to this day. Erin worked nights as an ICU Travel Nurse to fund their early beginnings. Erin remembers, “It was a hard time and success is never guaranteed. You have to work for it every day. We’re both extremely driven.” In 2021, they started an affiliate company in Northern Michigan, in Matt’s hometown, called Calendar Roofing.
The couple loves spending time with family and their pets—two dogs and two mini horses. Their newest addition, a husky named Ridge, was found watching them from the ridge while installing IKO shingles. “Erin found his owners, but he refused to leave. She believes in ‘what’s meant to be,’ so we kept him,” Matt shares. Erin also believes in “choosing your hard,” adding, “We didn’t pick an easy path, but we’re here to be the best—for us and our clients. Have you ever felt like you’re exactly where you’re meant to be? That’s how we feel.”
Calendar Construction has been serving Charleston, W.Va., and surrounding areas since 2015.
Curt and Renee Clevenger, founders of Creative Home Solutions, have spent nearly 20 years building a successful roofing business together. They started their business while raising kids and managing family life. With their complementary skills, Curt runs the daily business operations, while Renee handles Human Resources and larger business decisions. Their son-in-law joined the company about two years ago, marking the start of the second generation in the business. For the Clevengers, customer satisfaction is at the heart of their work. “Seeing a satisfied customer is what drives us every day,” says Curt. “It’s all about delivering quality and service you can stand behind,” adds Renee. When they’re not hard at work, they enjoy spending time with their four dogs and horses on their mini farm.

Greg and Marla of Wintringham Roofing are a true power couple, balancing business and life with dedication and passion. Greg founded Wintringham Roofing in the 1980s, and Marla entered his life—and briefly his business—in 2010. “We met at the gym, both early-morning regulars,” Greg recalled. “She worked with me for a few months. That was fun.” Marla laughed, “Fun-ish. Roofing is hard work!” She pursued her teaching career but still plays a key role behind the scenes. “Greg handles operations, while I take care of IT and tech. I love it.” Despite their different roles, they share a deep appreciation for roofing. “The best part is seeing a finished job and a happy customer,” Marla said. Greg added, “There’s nothing better than knowing we’ve taken great care of someone’s home.”
The couple has six children, a grandson eager to join the trade, and a dog. Sundays are reserved for family dinners, a tradition Marla cherishes. Greg, a lifelong hockey player, still hits the ice, while Marla stays busy with volunteering and community work.
