Homeowners Choose a ‘Forever’ Roof for Their Pacific Northwest Home

The Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) named a beautiful reroofing project that used all copper tiles as a winner of its Best Metal Roofing Project competition.

Located in Bow, Wash., the award-winning copper metal roof was installed by MRA member Mountaintop Metal Roofing on a 4,000 square-foot home, replacing a worn-out blue tile roof that was not only failing, but detracted from overall appearance of the beautiful home. The homeowners decided to go with a “forever” roof and chose copper tile manufactured by The Aluminum Shingle Company as a crowning touch for the home.

As an organic alloy, the new copper roof will weather beautifully in the Pacific Northwest’s wet climate, changing patina over time without compromising on long lasting durability and performance. The project itself impressed the judges with its great attention to detail for a roof that was installed to last a lifetime, and credited the crew for overcoming challenges with great skill, including contending with different planes, skylights and a severe roof pitch. In all, the project took just three weeks to complete.

“This amazing copper roof was installed masterfully, and it will last a lifetime,” says Glenn Boss of Mountaintop Metal Roofing. “Installing such a beautiful, long lasting and worry-free roof is very gratifying.  We were very happy to be part of such a great project.”
