Avery Dennison Performance Tapes has introduced its Flashing and Seaming Portfolio, a new line of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes for use with a wide range of building envelope materials. The high-performance, peel-and-stick materials are engineered to keep water and air out to prevent damage while enhancing building comfort and energy efficiency.

The portfolio includes multiple tape constructions and adhesive technologies for use in many applications when building envelope flashing and seaming are required, including windows and doors, wall systems, roofing solutions, as well as foundation and concrete insulation. In addition, the portfolio contains products for barrier and membrane use cases. The tapes meet 711-20 standards of American Architectural Materials Association (AAMA). Certification is pending.

The featured product in the portfolio is FT 0088, a single-coated waterproof flashing tape that is conformable, self-sealing and puncture resistant. The tape, which meets AAMA 711-13 requirements, adheres to a wide variety of building materials and sealants. The tape features an extremely aggressive adhesive that bonds well to damp surfaces and will not melt or stain at high temperatures. FT 0088 resists UV exposure for six months and offers low vapor transmission rates.
