FGIA will host two educational sessions during GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo, covering important and timely topics like the current state of supply chains and field testing for commercial fenestration systems. FGIA staff will also be on hand at the Industry Pavillion, booth 27096, November 4-6 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

“We know that supply chain challenges are top of mind for many in the industry, so we’re pleased to have assembled a panel of experts to dive into this issue and offer practical solutions,” said Janice Yglesias, FGIA Executive Director. “We are also proud to share FGIA staff expertise on utilizing field testing to verify performance of newly installed storefronts, curtain walls and sloped glazing systems.”

Innovative Strategies to Mitigate Impacts from Supply Chain Disruptions: A Panel Discussion
    •
    November 5, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
    • Moderator: Janice Yglesias, FGIA Executive Director

Here, experts from across the industry will discuss tactics for managing unpredictable supply chain disruptions. Hear practical insights on staying ahead of global compliance and establishing a nimble infrastructure allowing effective delivery of products to market. Industry veterans will share actionable strategies that can be implemented in your own company to help insulate your business from delays, additional costs and lost productivity.

Panelists for the discussion, “Innovative Strategies to Mitigate Impacts from Supply Chain Disruptions,” will include Abe Eshkenazi (Association for Supply Chain Management), Chip Gentry (Quaker Window Products) and Jeff Robinson (Intertek).

Field Testing for Commercial Fenestration Systems
    •
    November 5, 4:15-4:45 p.m.
    • Speaker: Aaron Blom, FGIA Technical Training Specialist

Once products have been installed, how can you confirm they are performing as intended? Blom will share insights from AAMA 503, Voluntary Specification for Field Testing of Newly Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls and Sloped Glazing Systems, which outlines test methods for evaluating the performance of newly installed storefronts, curtain walls and sloped glazing systems. These tests provide reasonable assurance that the installed product is performing to the required air leakage and/or water penetration performance levels.

Registration for GlassBuild is now open.
