In summer 2025, the Opus collection from Karndean Designflooring received a significant refresh, with 10 new wood- and stone-inspired luxury vinyl designs. Less than six months later, the collection is receiving significant recognition: two awards for product-design excellence.
The Opus collection has been honored with both a GOOD DESIGN award and an ADEX Platinum award. Jenne Ross, Karndean Director Of Product, says that more than anything, the awards reflect the luxury vinyl supplier’s commitment to its customers.
Launched in 2012, Opus has long been distinguished by cool tones and modern aesthetics. But with the new wood and stone visuals, things have warmed up a bit, Ross says, noting that retailers, designers and architects can get a firsthand look at the collection next week at SURFACES (Booth 2847).
A gluedown collection with a 20 mil wear layer, Opus is ideal for creating custom installations that include Karndean design strips.

The Awards
Few awards match the prestige of GOOD DESIGN, which has been honoring product-design excellence worldwide since 1950. The awards are bestowed annually by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
