Qwel, made by Genesis Products, has introduced its new Biophilic Collection, a line of acoustic ceiling tiles designed to bring the calming influence of nature indoors. The collection combines organic forms with precise acoustic performance, offering designers a way to create spaces that feel more balanced, restorative and human.
Biophilic design, an approach that integrates natural patterns and shapes into built environments, has been shown to reduce stress, improve focus and support overall well-being. While this trend has transformed walls and floors, ceilings have often been left behind. Qwel’s new collection addresses that gap, making biophilic design accessible and affordable for a wide range of projects.
The Biophilic Collection debuts with two designs: Dune, inspired by the gentle rise and fall of natural landscapes, and Terra, which draws on the sculptural rhythm of Zen gardens and terraced formations. Both tiles are made from PET fiber with up to 50 percent recycled content, offering durability, mold resistance, and easy maintenance. They deliver an NRC rating of 0.75 for superior sound absorption and are Clean Air Gold certified, Class A fire-rated and fully recyclable.
