Tando Composites, a division of Derby Building Products, has debuted the new Beach House Shake Rustic Collection. Tando Composites manufactures the composite exterior claddings, Beach House Shake and TandoStone, known for their authentic looks and long-term performance.
Like the original Beach House Shake, the Rustic Collection is an ideal replacement for natural individual cedar shingles. The Rustic Collection features a staggered edge design, characterized by shingles of varying thicknesses and uneven edges. This iconic look dates to the 1600s when craftsmen began using irregularly shaped shingles for speed and aesthetics.
Known as the “composite shingles that never show their age,” all Beach House Shake products deliver the authentic beauty of cedar shingles while maintaining their original appearance for the life of the home – with no discoloration.
The Rustic Collection is available in four on-trend styles: Pacifica, a fresh western red cedar; Sandcastle, fresh white eastern cedar; and two new darker shades depicting gracefully aged wood shingles, Galveston Gray and Ballard Brown. Although the new profile could be used for a whole house application, it also works well in a gable or an accent area for a mixed material exterior.
