Bjelin, an international wood flooring manufacturer using advanced technology, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, marking a decade of growth, innovation and international expansion. In the last year, the company has experienced a 40 percent increase in Woodura flooring growth, confirming the company’s strategic direction and market demand for durable, resource-efficient flooring solutions.
Since its launch in Sweden 2016, the company has expanded beyond its home market and established offices globally, building a strong international presence. Incorporating technologies developed by sister company Välinge Innovation – the inventor of click flooring – the company continues to build on a strong foundation of innovation and technical expertise.
In the last year, the company has restructured to focus on veneer and its more resource efficient Woodura products, strengthening the focus on the global commercial sector. “This strategic decision has proven right, as shown by the strong growth in Woodura production, and we will continue to build on this momentum,” says Bjelin’s CEO, Fredrik Alfredsson.
As Bjelin enters its next decade, the focus remains on scaling Woodura production while strengthening its global footprint and operational capabilities. “Veneer allows us to take control of our own development,” says Fredrik Alfredsson. “It enables better use of raw material, greater design freedom and stronger margins, while reducing our dependency on fluctuating log quality. That is where we see our long-term growth.”
Woodura technology, developed by Välinge Innovation, makes it possible to create hardened wood floors by compressing a thin veneer layer with a strong, moisture-resistant core. This approach maximises the yield from each tree while delivering floors with high durability and consistent quality.
With production in Sweden and Croatia and sales across multiple markets, Bjelin enters its second decade with a sharpened focus and a clear roadmap for continued growth. Bjelin looks forward to sharing more news as the company grows its business.
