Aeroseal has developed air-sealing processes that can be applied in new and existing HVAC ductwork or to the building envelope of newly built homes. In both applications, the intended space is pressurized and a non-toxic aerosolized sealant is sprayed into the space through tubing or into the air. Because the space is pressurized, the sealant particles rush to escape via any existing small holes and cracks and gradually accumulate to form a tenacious but pliable airtight seal. Aeroseal’s Duct technology quickly and efficiently seals HVAC leaks remotely and from the inside, making it possible to seal leaks throughout the entire duct system. Aeroseal Envelope can get to the smallest cracks and leaks, reach the furthest exterior parts of the envelope, and correct air or vapor barriers that may have been removed or damaged during construction, which is nearly impossible to do after drywall is hung. Aeroseal provides real-time monitoring of air pressure during the process, allowing technicians to track the progress and effectiveness of the sealant application, certifying the sealing was successful and the building will not fail inspection.
